You hear the code phrase peal through the nicotine air of the living room from the color television even though you'd turned the volume way down low while you sip your morning coffee in the kitchenette of the apartment you share with a kind middle aged laundress. Your cover is dangerously near to being blown and they are closing in. Fletcher drilled this into every recruit; your actions slip into pure instinct. They cannot know what you've done. They cannot know what you are. Not if you want to live. Not if you want to keep them safe.

Being a Regular Guy

The life of a FIST operative is never an easy one. You're in and causing danger, weird things are happening all around and within you, and there is a serious lack of stability. But no matter, you signed up for that.

Sometimes though, your work requires you to at least don the mantle of being a Regular Guy—whether you're going deep undercover for a mission or you just want to pop down to the corner store to buy some milk without being targeted by a cyborg assassin.

The rules in these pages can be added onto any FIST mission or campaign where having cover is a crucial component to the narrative.
