  • Experiment with new traits before committing to permanent alterations to your self.
  • Test your skill with an almost infinite number of weapon possibilities.
  • Compete with your fellow FIST operatives for bragging rights and bio-material rewards.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT IN CRAVAT TRAINING EXERCISES

After connecting yourselves to the CRAVAT mainframe following the instructions included in the box of hardware that accompanied your purchase of CRAVAT, you will be greeted by PUZO, an advanced artificial intelligence that functions as a digital avatar of the CRAVAT system itself.

Do not be alarmed if your first experience in CRAVAT is disorienting! The digital grid space you begin each mission in will soon be populated with the mission’s level geometry. While that loads, PUZO will guide you through the processes of acquiring your avatar’s basic starting equipment and your first execution of the >FABRICATE EQUIPMENT command, which will randomly generate a bespoke weapon for you to use in the mission.

Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to digitize existing equipment, but rest assured our engineers (led by MILLER, the programmer and designer of CRAVAT!) are hard at work on this feature. Look for it in 1985!

PUZO will then walk you through the Trait Selection Menu via the >EXPERIMENTAL UPGRADE command. That’s right, you can select a new trait to experiment with before the mission even starts!

You will then have the choice for yourself to activate Battle Bleed® - this revolutionary technology will allow you to transfer traits and equipment into the real world, depending on your score.

Within each mission, the CRAVAT System and your Handler have a number of tools available to them to randomize parts of and things within the level, including increasing the difficulty of the mission, so repeat sessions in the same training mission can be wildly different.

WHAT IS IN THIS DOCUMENT

CRAVAT is a framework for running one-shots in FIST in a score challenge environment with gamified tools for Handlers and Agents to alter mission difficulty, test new builds, and translate events, scenes, and quests from classic real-world media.

This includes:

  • Scoring System rules
  • Random weapon generation tables
  • 6 new Traits geared towards CRAVAT play but compatible with any FIST game
  • Tools for Handlers to alter scenarios on the fly to increase the mission's difficulty (and the score multiplier!)
  • 3 new one-shot missions for use in CRAVAT:
    • BUNKER based on a level from Goldeneye 007
    • BARON based on the "Family Matters" questline in The Witcher 3
    • CATACOMBS based on a sequence from John Wick 2

WANT TO MAKE YOUR OWN MISSIONS FOR CRAVAT? GREAT!

With the CRAVAT System, making missions for it is pretty straightforward. Each mission will need 4 Main Objectives that will shape the general structure of the mission. From there, you'll also need to identify the Obstacles (physical barriers that prevent Agents from completing those objectives, like enemies, threats, or other constraints) and the Opportunities (things Agents can leverage to their benefit, from helpful NPCs to beneficial bonus items). Finally, write up a mission brief that sets things up and identify some optional objectives. That's it!
